Activity Days

Elizabeth and Natalie sure had a fun year in Activity Days together.  They had a great group of girls and some great leaders (who were kind enough to take pictures and send them to us parents).  They learned a lot of things, did some secret service, put on skits, and made LOTS of delicious treats.
Mostly they bonded and had a great time!

Allen Reunion

We packed up our house to move and then drove to CA for the Allen reunion.  We spent the week there and then Joe drove back by himself to load the truck.  Then, he drove the truck while Marsha drove his car out and picked us up on the way to our new house.  So, we had a vacation in the middle of moving.  It was fun, if perhaps a bit more stressful than normal.  We always love going to Tahoe and spending time with Allen family.

We had a lot of great times.  Here are some of the highlights...

Monday night we had our big FHE together. Josh and Jacob were in charge this year and they did an awesome job.  They did a face to face (question and answer) event with Grandma and Grandpa.
I love hearing the old stories about my parents and I love when my kids get to hear them, too.  I'm grateful for their faithful example.
Of course we had fun days at the pool.  It was a little chilly this year but that didn't stop the kids much:
Uncle Matt was nice and trying to help Elizabeth catch the football. :)
I always love our sports on the grass:
We were just dinking around in that picture but we had a blast playing ultimate frisbee this year, and some basketball.
Kelli, Lisa, and I snuck in a paddleboard yoga class:
That was so fun and quite a workout.  And I didn't fall in!
We had a fun day at the lake--Sand Harbor this time.  The kids loved climbing over the big rocks.  That was one of my very favorite things to do at the lake when I was a kid so it did my heart good to see them enjoying it, too.
Of course we had to eat at the Char Pit:
We had a fun day at Northstar village, too.
These kids got to roller skate:
They had a place you could pan for gold (and take home some cool rocks):
And they had trampoline jumping and a rock wall:
That's Lizzy at the top!
Here's Natalie:
Eli even did the trampoline:
It was so cute to watch.  Nate did it, too, but I think we only have video from his.
We had some movies and lots of games:
Chris and Lisa introduced us to Cover Your Assets and Bubble Talk, two really fun games:
We bought Cover Your Assets and now Eli walks around all day begging people to play with him.  We all love it!  We also were reintroduced to Scum, Matt and Melissa's game.  That's a fun game for a big group.
Here are all our kids crammed into Matt and Melissa's rental car for a quick shuttle home so they didn't have to walk back:
Eli loves his cousins!
Especially using his force choke on them:
We also took some family pictures on the golf course:
All the grandkids:
Our family pictures didn't turn out the best:
I can't remember what Nate was mad about now...
It was a great week!
