Healthy at last
OK, I feel bad about posting that and then never following up. All the kids are finally better. It was a long two weeks but they are over it now, thankfully. We are done traveling, too, at least for a little while. We're back in UT staying with Joe's brother's family. Have I mentioned that? I can't remember. They are kind, wonderful, compassionate and gracious enough to let us live in their house for 6 weeks :). Well, there's less than a month left now.
The kids sure seem to be having fun. However, all the cousin playtime can result in fighting/meltdowns if they are not given enough quiet/alone time. Exhibit A: a walk we attempted to take last night after dinner. It's actually pretty funny to look back on now. We had only gone about 3 houses down when the kids were abandoning bikes, begging to ride on the double stroller (already holding two babies) fighting over bikes, saying they were tired, etc, etc. Somehow we all made it home in one piece. :)
It is great fun for me having Jaime around during the day. It's so nice to have someone to hang out with. We've been trading off cooking and babysitting and clean-up is so much faster with more people (although the messes are probably twice as big!). Anyway, they are putting up with a WHOLE lot and we sure appreciate it. Thank you again. We owe you guys big!!
Pictures will still have to wait since we don't have the camera cord. Hopefully my next post will have some. I hope everyone is having a nice summer!

Update
Wow, it's been awhile. A lot has happened. This won't be much of an update, though, but I did want to say that we are alive and well. Actually, that is overstating it--we are alive but not quite well. We have had some kind of vicious bug going through our family. Everyone except Joe has had it. Elizabeth and I didn't have it too bad but poor Natalie and Nate. Natalie has now been throwing up since the 4th of July. The weird thing is that she is usually fine during the day and only gets sick at night. She has also been fine for a day or two, just long enough for us to start thinking she's over it, and then she throws up again. She is in a good stretch right now so let's hope it's for good. Nate does seem to really be improving finally. He had a bad fever for awhile and was also throwing up frequently but he has his appetite back now and is doing better. He did develop a rash all over his body yesterday but we're hoping it's harmless. Now, if he could just sleep through the night again. :/
The problem with all of this sickness (and possibly a root cause of it going on so long) is the fact that we've been traveling around to our family reunions. We were both really looking forward to these reunions after missing last years'. We've had to cut some short and skip out on some things but it has still been good to see everyone.
So, someday I'll post about our family's 2nd camping trip, two reunions, and Joe's Ghana adventures.
Update: Natalie is still sick. A doctor we saw today didn't seem to think it was infectious but no one has any idea what it could be. We are sure hoping this resolves sometime soon. We want our healthy Natalie back. Please keep her in your prayers. Nate seems to be doing better, thankfully.
