January went by in a flash. Here are some little memories to keep track of...
Eli was excited to start his monthly Brain Chase membership. He had to submit a picture and I just loved how it turned out:
I also took him out for his birthday lunch. He must be spoiled because we went to McDonald's first but he didn't like the happy meal toys so we went to Wendy's instead :). I like Wendy's a lot better so that was a reason, too.
Joe and I got to go out for dinner at dishdash with some friends before the adult session of stake conference:
I love these two and this picture:
Nate got his hands all soapy and was doing some pretty cool bubble-bending, as we called it:
Natalie got to go to the temple for the very first time! We all drove to Sacramento, since the Oakland temple is still closed, and first stopped for lunch at the Ashby's house. We sure miss them! Especially cute Elle:
The temple was packed! But we were able to sneak in and get some names done. Natalie loved it and couldn't wait to come back.
Chris and Lisa were nice enough to watch the boys for us. After, we had dinner at Outback with them.
Nate has become a reader! He found a series that he loves--Wings of Fire. I even sometimes find him asleep in bed like this:
Just like his sisters before him. They are so proud. :) It was all their doing--I think one of them bribed him to read the first one.
I love finding selfies like this one on my phone:
Joe has been loving his new job. He went to a conference for district superintendents and got to have dinner inside the Monterey Bay Aquarium:
Pretty awesome!
I also got a job--a super part-time one but a job nonetheless. It's been fun! I started teaching a Math Enrichment class at a local charter school that caters to homeschool families. I only have 5 students and they are all different ages from 6 up to 16 which can be challenging, but I love trying to help kids have positive opportunities with hands-on math activities.
