Joe Went Skydiving!

I mentioned how I opted for indoor skydiving.  Joe, on the other hand, stuck with checking something off his bucket list and went for the real thing. Instead of making it a double date with the Allreds like we'd originally talked about, it was just Joe and Ann to go (David wasn't interested either). Elizabeth went along so it wouldn't be too much like a date. :)
The brave adventurers:
Ann had been skydiving before so she wasn't too nervous.
Elizabeth had to hang out and read in the hangar while they went up in the plane.
The went above Santa Cruz which had some amazing views of the ocean.
I love this series of pictures as Joe is leaving the plane:
They were pretty high up so he got to free-fall for 45 seconds. After the tumbling around when they first fell, he loved it:

Then they pulled the parachute and floated down. He said the view was amazing but he did start to get a little queasy going back and forth at the end. You can see it in his face towards the end.

The landing was super easy--they just stood up. He survived. :)
He was really proud of himself for doing it. It was surreal and amazing. He's not sure he needs to do it again but he's really glad he had the opportunity.
