Visit from Family

It's been awhile so here's some catch-up!

At the end of March we had a visit from family. We love when people visit us! Jon and Jaime and kids suffered through a terrible drive to make it here. They just happened to have about the worst possible weather when they decided to come. Snow in the mountains and a flood watch here. So much for sunny California! :) We had a blast, though, and are so glad they came to see us.

They were supposed to be here in time for the BYU/Florida game but ended up missing it because of the weather. It was a tough game to watch. Moments of brilliance but mostly just a lot of missed 3's. We still supported our Cougs and even made some blue jello.

Elizabeth didn't want to do a 'Y', she wanted an 'E'
They finally arrived that evening and the kids were SO excited to play. We got going early the next morning and took a trip to San Francisco. I'm embarrassed to say that this was the first time we've actually gone to the city since we've lived here (not counting the airport). It was fun to have an excuse to go.

We went to the pier to see the sea lions and the kids all loved that.

A bunch of the crew:

Jon and Jaime's beautiful fam

I love this one:
Checking out this silver guy do his thing:
Then we went over to the Exploratorium, but first we ate some lunch and played at a nearby beach.

Almost got a great family picture.
If only I wouldn't blink all the time
She loves to run from the waves.
We need to go to the beach again soon.

The kids loved the Exploratorium. They were running from exhibit to exhibit. We didn't even get to see all that much and we were there a long time.

This big bubble sheet was cool:

They even watched a cow eye dissection
(it's too bad her hand is blocking it)
Other than that, we just talked, let the kids play, jogged, ate some In 'n Out, and talked some more. Thanks again for coming guys!

How fun! First off, I had no clue the sea lions came back! They left last year after being there for forever. Secondly, I am so jealous you saw the Silver Man. He's almost like a unicorn now. Rare yet oh so special when you see him.

What a fun trip!
ps.. thanks for taking us. As you can, I'm still up and a little disturbed.
