First off, we had a great Fourth of July hanging out with my brother and his family. The girls especially enjoyed getting their faces painted (a first) at a BBQ we went to. These are the only pictures I have from the day.
Elizabeth's patriotic rainbow
After a very late night of fireworks, they even went to bed with painted faces. I was just glad that it washed off Sunday morning.
This past week we've enjoyed having Grandma Marsha with us. She just left this morning and the girls were sad to see her go. We packed in a lot of stuff and had a fun week together. This was kind of our family reunion for the summer since we aren't able to go to either one of our family reunions because of my pregnancy issues.
We had a great day on Friday. First we went to one of my favorite beaches in Aptos. It was a perfect day and not too crowded either.

Grandma and Natalie
After the beach, we did the 17 mile drive around Pebble Beach. It was fun to stop and see all of the seals and sea lions (maybe if you click on this picture you can see all of them). Natalie loved listening to them bark.
We tried to get the girls to pose for pictures but they wouldn't stop making silly faces.
I must say that the pictures turned out pretty cute, though.
Here's Daddy and Lizzie in front of the "Lone Cypress", the symbol of Pebble Beach. Joe's even wearing his Pebble Beach golf hat with the tree on it.
Grandma spent most of her time patiently reading story after story and playing game after game with the girls. Here they are enjoying one of Grandma's favorites Make Way for Ducklings.

Cute! I'm so glad she was able to come! My husband used to go to Aptos all the time as a kid. I LOVE that entire area.
Hope you have a great week!

Looks like a lot of fun! Your girls are too cute!
My mom grew up near Aptos (in Watsonville) so we get to that area every once in a while. Gotta love the weather!
Looks like you guys had a blast! Great pictures. Did you end up going to SF? We miss you here in Tahoe. Hope you are feeling good. ((HUGS))
I love, love sea lions!
Ash, you do not look big at all! You can't even tell you're pregnant! Seriously! You are having a boy though, so maybe that's why you feel bigger. It was so good talking to you guys! We miss you!
